SUNNYVALE — Sunnyvale police officers arrested a suspect Saturday in the homicide of a man in the parking lot of a Home Depot on Kifer Road late the night before.
Officers with the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety were called to the scene at about 11:38 p.m. Friday, where they found a man unconscious and not breathing. Officers provided medical aid but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to the department, the death was caused by a fight between the victim and another man the victim knew, who fled before officers arrived. The suspect, a 41-year-old Sunnyvale resident, was placed under arrest and booked into the Santa Clara County Jail.
The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
